*** Important Announcement ***

The Amateur Martial Association (AMA), English Karate Federation (EKF), Federation of English Karate Organisations (FEKO) Karate England (KE) and Karate Union of Great Britain (KUGB) are continuing their work to create a single organisation to act as the governing body for Karate in England.

The work, which is being funded by Sport England and managed by the Sport and Recreation Alliance, reflects the contribution that karate makes to the leisure activity landscape of England.

A working group, with representatives from each of the organisations and Sport England, met in November and discussed the draft Articles of Association for the new body and the recruitment process for the appointment of an independent Chairman. It is intended to start recruitment before the end of the year with the aim of having a Chairman in place by spring 2019.
